Boost In Investment at Peak Packaging UK
IBC liner manufacturer Peak Packaging has recently made a substantial investment in their UK site with the commissioning of a new state of the art Injection Moulding Machine for liner fitments.
The Company has been investing steadily over recent years in its Derbyshire site to meet the growth in demand for their liners in bulk liquid packaging both in the UK and overseas. This investment comes after a sizeable expansion of their second factory in Bartoszyce, northern Poland.
The new moulding line will greatly increase the production capacity of liner fitments, which are a key element of Peak Packaging’s business model. Fitments – glands and valves, – are an integral part of the IBC liner for filling and discharging liquid product. Manufacturing these products on the same site as liners ensures control of production of this key component as well as full traceability of every element of the liner. This is vital to the food, dairy, toiletries and cosmetics markets in which Peak operates.
Peak has been producing liner fitments to their own design for over 10 years. This new machine with its sophisticated production monitoring system will mean more complex specifications can be produced. The Company will be geared to respond to new requirements from their established customers and also to meet the growing demand for liners in new markets where a wide range of complex filling and discharge specifications is used.
All Peak liners and fitments are approved for direct food contact by FDA/IMS and manufactured in accordance with the BRC packaging standard for which the company has achieved AA grade for the past 4 years.
Peak Packaging has been established over 26 years and supplies IBC liquid liners to food, dairy, toiletries and cosmetics manufacturers.
